With Appreciation to Our Donors
Investing in heritage benefits us all. It creates a window to preserving the past and a connection to a future legacy worth celebrating. Joining us as our lead donors are Robert and Elaine Crawford and Al and Lois Fraser. Their generous support, involvement and enthusiasm has helped to launch the Lucy Maud Montgomery Museum and Literary Centre Norval initiative.

Prince’s Trust Canada
Prince’s Trust Canada has facilitated a relationship between the Prince’s Regeneration Trust UK and The National Trust for Canada to bring the Regeneration Trust’s proven approach to heritage-led economic regeneration to Canada. The goal of this partnership is to build the capacity of The National Trust to deliver heritage led regeneration to neglected sites across the country. A report and business plan was delivered to the The Lucy Maud Montgomery House as part of the initial pilot.

The Prince’s Regeneration Trust United Kingdom
In August 2015, The Prince’s Regeneration Trust UK was asked by the Prince’s Charities of Canada to assist the L.M. Montgomery Society in Norval with the delivery of an exciting project to ensure that Montgomery’s legacy – literary, historic, cultural and many other facets – be enshrined, preserved and celebrated in the village she lived in, by acquiring and opening her former home to the public.

Town of Halton Hills
Halton Hills is a town in the Regional Municipality of Halton Region, located in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. Norval is a village in the Town of Halton Hills situated on the Credit River. It is located approximately 55 kilometers west of Toronto.
Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette and Members of Council and staff support the preservation of the built heritage establishing Heritage Halton Hills as a Committee of Council. The Mayor’s Heritage Golf Tournament is an annual event that raises funds for town heritage projects including the preservation of the Norval Presbyterian Manse. In recognizing Canada 150, the Town of Halton Hills contributed $90,000.00 to the project, $1.50 for every resident of the town.
We acknowledge the support of Councillor Ted Brown as an Ex Officio Committee Member of the Lucy Maud Montgomery Heritage Society of Norval.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation
The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is an agency of the Government of Ontario, and one of Canada’s leading granting foundations. OTF awarded more than $120 million to some 700 projects last year to build healthy and vibrant communities in Ontario.
As a supporter of the Lucy Maud Montgomery Museum and Literary Centre, the OTF provided Seed Grant funding to support the research and future development of a cultural heritage museum that will offer programs to enrich the lives of people by engaging them in cultural heritage and the arts. The OTF provided support to the project with a 1-year $74,400.00 Seed Grant that started on November 1, 2018.
